Academic and Professional Training
Rachel earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lehigh University. She has extensive professional experience in eating disorder treatment at the Renfrew Center of New York. Rachel served as both a Clinical Assessor and Primary Therapist at the intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) levels of care. During this time, she also facilitated a specialty trauma-focused group therapy track, which continues to inform her integrative and trauma-sensitive approach to individual work. She has extensive experience supporting clients through the recovery process, addressing both the behavioral and emotional components of eating disorders.
Rachel's Approach
Rachel draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build insight, emotional regulation, and sustainable change. Rachel has also completed Level 1 Gottman Couples Training and is excited about working with couples, supporting healthy communication and stronger connections within relationships.
